The answer is no, she cannot volunteer. Community service is probably all one can do but any others that potentially can be perceived as displacement of US worker is certainly a no-no. In the proposed case, it can be construed as such.

Some people did mistakes in the past and tried to correct it. If they are successful in correcting the mistake legally, then you should feel happy about it and wish them success.
At least don't wish them bad luck....
This is stupid. I am not wishing good luck or bad luck to anyone. We are trying to explain the rule and its consequences. Its up to them to take it or not. Moreover I am not a fan of people who applied H1 through some desi consulting (most of them with fake experience), sitting on bench without any project and put everyone in the bad light, giving ammo to the antis. Do you know how many house wives put eight-ten years fake experience when they dont even know the difference between USB port or ether net port. Its not a mistake...its called greed. I disagree. DV may not have relevance to you but to a person who does not have an advance degree but still would like to come here to live,work and have a better standard of life it is still VERY relevant. Remember that this country was built by IMMIGRANTS not neccessarily by immigrants with advanced degrees.

I have used AC21 replied to all the RFEs about it. Laast year my attorney delayed renewal of my EAD and immediately 485 petition started moving and landed in National benefits Center for scheduling an interview.
In 60 days after receiving the case the NBC has scheduled this initial interview, only for me.
Additionally what is worrying me is that they are vague on what documents they want.
They say if this is marriage based GC your spouse should attend. Or of parent-child based GC the petitioning parents or child should attend.
They have specifially mentioned medicals if not already submitted, birth certificate, returns, employers letter, EADs, travel documents, I-94 and then they say all supporting documents submitted with the application. What do they mean? Is this because they don't know what they are looking for? on top of this the words "initial interview" have confused me.
Buddy, it does seem you are being pre-adjudicated, as the other guys are saying. We had an interview last December for exactly this purpose and the reason was two consecutive failures of clear biometrics on our part. It was for the better though because now our case is just waiting for a visa number unless something changes rather drastically. However, we did not encounter the term "initial interview".
Do indeed take all your documents. I am pasting here the list of docs our attorney asked us to take. These are rough notes I took over the phone so you might find some incoherence. Some of these docs were significant to our case and may not be applicable for you. I would always prefer to go for an overkill in immigration matters, so if anything seems remotely significant, take it along. Please see my answers inside:
I came to US in March 2007 on L1B, mean time applied for H1b during April 2008 which got approved with COS effective from Oct 1 2008,
I could not work on H1b for some reasons, continued work on L1 until end of may 09 , went back to india during last week of May 2009 and returned in a month time (last week of June 09) with same L1 visa,
Now I have a valid I94 fo L1 until Feb 2010, also H1B I94 says valid until 2011 which I assume is no more valid due to re-entry on L1 n offcourse never having worked on H1b till date.
Now I would like to take up H1B in a month time, following are my questions
1. I assume that my employer need to apply for COS from L1-H1 now (form I-539) correct me if iam wrong,also is it legal to work while COS approval is in progress?
Ans: You cannot work for new employer while COS is in progress. You can do that during H1 transfer but not during COS from L1-H1.
2. Is there a premium processing for COS? to make sure I get approval first and then start working,how long does it take to process premium and what is the typical time frame for normal one?
Ans: COS is eligible for premium processing. If your client is waiting, better go for premium processing as getting a client is more harder these days than getting a visa.
3. My family is back in India, are they legal to travel during my COS being in progress with necessary stamping ? This is in case iam legal to work while COS is in progress, or
you recommend me getting them before COS is initiated with there L2 visa n then apply COS for them too ? Risk here is if COS is not approved for some reasons everyone have to leave
Ans:It's better to get your family here first and then apply for COS. If you change your status to H1, then your family will have to get H4 stamped before they can enter USA. That can be a problem sometimes if your company is not a well established one. They could avoid the H4 stamping and the hassles that comes with it(221g processing).

in the intial offer letter ,they said they are going to pay 58k... and my job title was also different in the offer letter.
As the client is paying very low billing rate .... they said they need to change the LCA showing less salary(less than 58k)

I have sent a request 5 months back to FOIA to get my I-140 copy. No luck yet.
I'm not sure if you can do a PD transfer just based on receipt #. You may try the FOIA route - but please be aware that it will take about a year plus to get a copy of your 140. Now depending on your PD, you can take a guess and go ahead - either do FOIA and get a copy OR just wait until PD is current for you again.

Guys im an Eb3 applicant and my pd is 2007. I got a transfer notice of my I485 being transferred to USCIS-NBC lees summit ,mo . wHAT DOES THIS MEAN. i HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH THE SAME COMPANY FOR LAST 9 YEARS and had submitted all the tax returns at the time of I140 approval. Is there something i should worry about. pLEASE ADVISE.

Yes, she is the primary applicant. I called the attorney this evening and he suggested H1 tranfer. I have seen people saying USCIS is rejecting H1-B transfers if the applicant already got EAD. I have to see how far that is true.
is she the primary applicant on AOS? If so, to be safe, you may have her continue on H1 (provided employer is willing to file for H1B ac21 aka "transfer").
If she is not prim. applicant and If the employer is not willing to shed the H1 "transfer" money, you may save money by using EAD.
