Isn't that they have completed input and receipt issuance for cases received by certain date (late Aug.?) according to their update? How come so many July filers still have not received receipts? Weird!

On the one side you have the EB2. Earning more, and better educated. Clearly more important human beings to IRS and society. On the other we have EB3 Junta trying to get what they think is their right to spillover.
Now I understand all your points and agree with all of them.
Only 1 question :D why is IV not fighting to increase the regular (non spillover) quota for the clearly better category EB2. This is clearly not fair such super humans having to share same numbers as lower categories. Lower categories should go to Bombay where there is one apartment which is still empty.
Or better still get rid of the EB3 category altogether. Problem is solved! :D

Please don't get me started now. Almost everyone on this forum lurks because of self interest. If one has to do public service , I would join a organization like CRY etc.
Regarding yourself, you lurk on this forum to show you are better than others now that you have your "citizenship". I doubt you have contributed even a single cent to the cause or written any letter or contacted any lawmaker. And I don't blame you because you have no reason to do that.

as per the attorney, the case history of employers who won using non competes in the court are very rare unless the law suit is agiainst key personnel and court gets convinced by the legitemate business interest. If the employer still chooses to fight, he has got more to loose than me because of non payments of wages also being involved here. since non compete has been used just to escape the wages, courts wil be more hard on the employer and will consider it as threat rather than genuine.

Are folks on this thread suggesting we contact (communicate our plans to !!!) numbersusa? They are not going to listen to us, I can guarantee you that --- even if we tone down our demands! I have a couple of questions. My employer has an in-house attorney who is responsible for green card processing.
1. If i change employers WITHOUT notifying USCIS, who gets the RFE (if any) in the future? My ex-employer or beneficiary (I got my I-485 receipt directly from USCIS)
2. If i change employers WITHOUT notifying USCIS after 180 days, what happens if my ex-employer tries to CANCEL my I-140?
Can USCIS cancel I-140 without receiving any AC-21 notification from me?

FYI...
My friend and his wife received Receipt Notices for 485, EAD and AP on August 10, 2007. The Received Date (when application reached NSC) was June 25, 2007. And yesterday (August 13, 2007), his wife's EAD was approved. They still haven't gotten their FP notices as yet.
BTW, their packet was transferred from NSC to TSC since the I-140 was approved from TSC. It appears TSC is faster in processing EADs/APs than NSC.
Other details: I-140 was PP-approved from TSC in June 2007 and the application is EB2.

I got the e-mail saying that they have mailed my 485 approval notice on August 4 - but nothing after that - will the notice come to me at home or will it go to the lawyer - also how long before the card production e-mail gets here - not that I am in a tearing hurry - I have waited several years so what is another month ?

I can tell you - based on my observation from folks who have received the card before, within 7-10 days your card should be on its way to your HOME not LAWYER.

We are doing this to help everyone. Especially, those whose PD is still current as per September VB, if you act with in next 5-10 days, you have a chance. if you can individually file a law suit when your PD is current.Since my guess is, the lawsuit we are working on in this thread, will take some time to shape up. But this is a Biggie, we want to create a big impact. Meanwhile, folks who are out there waiting since 2001,2002.... you can follow the links that i pasted in my previous message. People have won lawsuit very similar to the one we are talking about. I can even paste some of the I-485 lawsuits filed because of unreasonable and unnecessary delays, when PD is current.

Hi everyone,
Iam a July 3rd filer and the moneyorders for me and my wife has been cashed on September 28th. We had send 2 moneyorders for $745. Waiting for the receipts to come. Hope all of you get your receipts very soon.

I think we should protest in front of capitol with placards reading "End Discrimination by National Origin". "USCIS practices Racism", "End Racism in Legal Immigration" "Remove country Caps", "Country Caps = Racism", "Choose Merit, Not Race". We should set up a tent and do a huger strike.

I tend to disagree from you on your comment regarding a possible link between name check and FP. I think they are seperate processes and run in parallel - one does not depend on another. I've read somewhere that a guy's name check was initiated like a month before he went for his FP. He got that info from infopass appointment. Also, wouldn't the IOs mention about the pending name check if it was related to FP notice?
Regarding reaching a non TSC IO, I think is impossible since the call gets directed to TSC or NSC based on the receipt number that you key in when you call.
I agree with you that we'll end up getting the same damn letter as our friend about no appointment availabality at local ASC for our SR response. It seems to me that we have to try either the Infopass or just wait it out.
