We will each individually send flowers to Emilio Gonzalez to be delivered July 10th. There is a suggestion to use a paypal account where we contribute money. However no one has come forward to take over the account so far.
The theme of the note attached to the flowers should be Sympathy or Get well.

There are some jobs that require US citizens only without any security clearance requirements. Many defense related projects are like that. Not everyone will need security clearance, but everyone in the project must be US citizen.

desi - You seem to have indepth knowledge in this. All your posts put together gives the complete picture.
In reality, a common man does not do much analysis and just goes by the flow. HR listens to what manager or management says and thats it. No one complains or asks and as such people - if they find an opportuinity which is welcoming will not chase an opportunity which is not welcoming unless a group of people like members of IV - want to collectively address these issues.
When I looked for jobs I have seen employers or reqruiters asking what is my status and if I say I have EAD some of them will say "OK, no problem" but will not get back because they have instruction from hiring managers to hire only GC or USC. The hiring manager may not be well informed enough or may not want to deal with things with USCIS (perception, because all USCIS wants is a verification letter which is common and other agencies like Banks, DMVs etc.. may also request the same)
I have noticed that a lot of people are not comfortable about dealing with USCIS - it could be a stigma.

This may be the *best advice*, imo.
Most "youngsters" (makes me feel really old now.. doesn't it.. ) visiting the U.S. for business/work/education seem to have no plans of residing in this country permanently. Most I've talked to in the past year or two are keen on returning home, or somewhere else.
Particularly true in case of India, imo.

Like many others on these forums, I have given up significant opportunities because I believed mistakenly that the GC mess would be cleared up in 2-3 years. Sometimes that does lead to extreme frustration - My wife often jokes that when I do actually receive my GC, I will have lost a very convenient excuse that the lack of one is holding me back. :-)
To those who are starting down this path, I have this piece of unsolicited advice. If you feel that you are depressed and this is affecting your health and/or your family, it may be best to move on - the world is a big place, full of opportunity; opportunities that cannot be quantified by an O*NET job code. Enjoy everyday while you can - you only live once.

Looks like this is a good idea. Even if FB2 is not current, USCIS might allow applying for 485 in such cases.

Per my lawyer,
1. USCIS does not mandate that you must inform when you invoke AC21. You can inform them if and when you get RFE.
2. I strongly believe that we should not accept job offers that is not related to the job you originally applied for. My lawyer says it is usually vague and if USCIS determines other wise I will be in trouble. And for the same reason I am hesitant to accept very good employee offer from my current client.
3. Self employment is ok as long as the requirements are met and that is what is I am doing now.
You are not informing USCIS about it .
So just just accept employment from another employer ..just change the job or is there any paperwork involded like transfer of any documents or GC processing ?

Totally agree with admin2. Rules are rules .. if you can apply and get thru EB2 .. so others 'qualified' have the right to do so.

Is that only for the lameduck session? Or is it true in general? Can senators put a 'hold' on a matter in any senate session? If that is true, then Senator Sessions can never even let this matter come up in senate in 2007 (and after.)
No I think it was only for the Lame Duck session. If it were to be for all sessions, no law would ever be able to pass, because in a democracy, it is an almost impossible feat to obtain unanimous vote!
